Day 23

Today is May 29th Memorial day. Had a great weekend in Shenandoah National park #6. Camped at Loft Mountain National Park Campground, high up on the mountain . Hiked 3.5 miles on the AT around the campground the friday. Spectacular views .

Saturday we hiked to some waterfalls, great going there, not so great coming back, 4 miles straight uphill ! 10 mile round trip. Certainly got our steps in. And a well earned beer at the end of it.

Sunday was very misty all day, could only see 10ft in front, so no point in doing any hiking, spent the day catching up on chores ( yes we do have chores on the road !!).

Today , Monday, started off great. Got to see Mama Bear and her cub.

Started to travel to Williamsburg but developed a transmission problem, limped to an RV site for the night (it was Memorial Day, no garages open) and opened a beer !
